Ride, ride, Messala, ride, and give these bills
Unto the legions on the other side.
Loud alarum
Let them set on at once; for I perceive
But cold demeanor in Octavius' wing,
And sudden push gives them the overthrow.5
Ride, ride, Messala: let them all come down.

se on = make an attack.
cold demeanor = bearing wanting zeal.
sudden= not prepared.
push= attack.
give them the overthrow= defeat them.
come down i.e. from the high ground on which the army was drawn up.
